Thank you to everyone who helped me raise $3700 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society last year! I had such a great experience training for and competing in the Disney triathlon last summer and fall, that I've decided to do it again. This time, the race will be the Columbia Triathlon and will be held on May 23 here in Columbia, Maryland.
This season I will race in honor of Charlie Riesz and Kati Fisher. Charlie is in remission from Lymphoma and will be racing as one of my teammates this year. Kati is a 14 year old high school freshman who recently re-entered the hospital for chemo treatments after over a year of remission. Her previous fight with Leukemia began in January of 2000 and lasted for 109 weeks of chemotherapy. She is one of many people who are fighting hard and we hope she'll win her fight. I've had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Charlie and Kati over the past 8 months and I'm more motivated than ever to train for and fundraise for this event.

My fundraising goal for this season is $3000. I have pledged $2200 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by May 1 but I think I can exceed that. Please pass this along to anyone you think may be interested in donating or participating. Thank you!
